Max walked in for his first shift as a trainee, while Rachel worked the cash register. But it wasn't quite love at first sight. At first, they intimidated each other and rarely made eye contact. But as they spent the next three years working shoulder-to-shoulder in a kitchen, they got to know each other slowly but surely. Eventually, they grew to understand each other very well.

One night after work, Max, Rachel and the rest of the crew all planned to go out together. It was this outing that made it clear to Max and Rachel that the foundation of friendship they had built as coworkers also existed outside of work. They each even felt the initial spark of a potential romance...but life had other plans at the time.

Max left Chipotle in pursuit of greater things. He moved to Columbia, while Rachel stayed in Clemson. Naturally, they grew apart as their lives took them in different directions.

Three years later, their paths crossed again. Rachel was passing through Max's hometown and they decided to grab an innocent drink together. As they caught up, they each felt like no time had passed. Impulsively, Rachel asked Max to be her date to her mom's upcoming wedding. Despite never having met Rachel's family, Max didn't hesitate for a second. They had so much fun that weekend, and both knew that what they had was special. Max asked Rachel to be his girlfriend that very weekend.

They moved in together!

After their recent move to Greenville, Max got down on one knee and asked Rachel to marry him, and she said YES!
